I was looking this over and I noticed it's optical reader is a BD Combo - will this also burn and read every kind of disk or just Blu-Ray? I ass/u/me it does but before I consider any more laptops with this reader I thought I better make sure first.

And another question - can upgrade the Vista to x64?

 BD combo drives will read and write CDs and DVD but only read Blu-ray Discs(no burning Blu-ray).

My AR730 has a BD combo drive. Plays BDs great, plays and burns DVDs & CDs like a champ!
