Re: dynamic dns and the Speedstreem Gigaset se567 router?

You can't fill out anything in the Modem/Router (as posted by McSummation See Profile) until after you setup an account with your chosen FQDN at »www.dyndns.org . Free or Paid, your choice.

Once you set it up properly, you will see one line in your Modem/Router log after the PPP entries it will show a "Dynamic DNS" entry as seen below:

It says it is for "DynDNS.org". You set up an account there and then fill in the fields in the router with the same information you used at DynDNS.org.

Does anyone know how to setup the speedstream gigaset se567 router
to use dynamic dns?

The router has a "Set Up Dynamic DNS" setup page:

Here is the text from the page:

"Dynamic DNS service allows you to register a DNS hostname with
DynDNS.org. Once registered, you can have your Gateway's
Internet address automatically resolve to a well-known
hostname."

The page has enable/disable radio buttons and 4 fields labeled:
1) Service Username:
2) Service Password:
3) Host Name 1:
4) Host Name 2:

What protocol is it using? What free DNS services are
compatible? What do I fill in the fields?

Thank You
