E8400 @ 3.6 Ghz. Core Voltage

I recently built a new E8400/P5Q system and am overclocking it to 3.6 Ghz. I did this by bumping the FSB to 400Mhz (9X multiplier). I was wondering what a stable core voltage for this speed is. I manually set it to 1.24 volts. Is this OK? Thanks for any replies!

What are your temps? Usually increasing the voltage will produce more heat, but if it's a minor jump, I wouldn't worry about it.

IIRC I had mine running at 4GHz with voltage about 1.325.
FSB 445 with 9X multiplier. Scythe Ninja cooler.
Would run 59C - 61C under 100% Prime

Like poppster See Profile said just keep an eye on your temps.

Thanks for the replies. Everything is running fine with CPU temps @ 35-38C idle and low 50's maximum under load. I'm using an AC Freezer 7 Pro. I think I'll just leave it where it is.

It should be able to run 3.6ghz with stock voltage. I've had my e8400 as high as 4.3ghz with only 1.36v.

It will be ok if you want to leave it where it is. 1.24v is far from hurting anything.
