BitPremium join:2009-02-19 00000 | reply to BF69 Yeah, with a 5GB cap you can handle a lot of large file attachments in the field. When you want to pull down a 20MB PDF you don't want to sit and wait and wait and wait as it comes down at 800kbps.
Not everyone runs streaming video. |

When people's only other option is dial-up it would be nice if they had a REAL option for broadband. |

ditka_bPremium join:2001-10-05 Barrington, IL | reply to BF69 I think it's time to stop complaining about the 5gb caps. Cellular broadband allows you to email, surf. It simply isn't for massive non stop use the bandwidth is shared and doesn't support that. If you watch a large streaming video for hours you effect everyone else on the cell negatively. The caps should grow with capacity growth. Try and remember this is cellular wireless not cable broadband or dsl. The difference between caps on cellular wireless is this.. Cellular has limited total bandwidth per cell and higher cost per GB.
Cable broadband has cheaper data costs and is just simply greedy. They simply can't even come close to proving the need for caps but that's a story for another day. |
