Re: iPhone 3G question

I'm not sure but I think you'll need new hardware to really avail yourself of these supposed new speeds assuming the network is provisioned to actually support them. I think only phones coming to the market now are 7.2 capable. Most phone already on the market are only 3.6 capable.

My mistake I didn't see your question before I posted...
Anyway I'm under the same impression as well, although the aricle states it's already in place in certain markets meaning it's already being tested on current hardware. Whether this is other 3G phones that support those speeds or iPhone 3G's, I'm not to sure. I'm planning on getting one of the new iPhones come release date but if for some reason I don't I'd like to know if my current iPhone 3G will take advantage of these speeds!
