tschmidt : Welcome to BBR

Assuming Verizon DSL is actually activated problem may be incorrect ATM settings. Verizon used VPI/VCI of 0:35. Netopia is supposed to automatically detect ATM settings. If not it is easy to set manually.

Have you been able to get a user name and password for your Verizon DSL account? Normally Verizon modem/routers walk new customer through setup via a walled garden.

If you are still having trouble may want to post question in the Verizon DSL forum.

/tom

kkh : Switched from Earthlink to Verizon DSL service to save $ (already had Verizon home phone) and Verizon CS told me I could still use the modem Earthlink provided me with (Netopia 3341-ELK).

Since Verizon DSL has been activated, I no longer have internet service. The modem isn't 'talking' to Verizon. All lights on the modem are working except the PPPoE light and error message when I try to connect to the internet keeps showing PPPoE fail & PING fail. My Network connections under my computers control panel are showing the new Verizon ISP addresses.

It seems that other posts have showed that users have been able to continue using their Earthlink provided modem with a different DSL provider with no problems. How can I get my modem to 'talk' to Verizon? If I need to reset it (besides turning it off & on and resetting using a push pin in the back of the modem), how do I go about doing that?
