Firmware upgrade question

I have WPN824 V2H1 with firmware V1.0.19_1.0.1NA.
A few days ago I switched to a new ISP and since then the router takes ages to connect. The status screen says "trying" and eventually it will connect. with the old ISP it always connected right away.
What could be the problem here ? should I upgrade the firmware, and if the answer is yes, to what version?
What is the difference between the NA firmware and worldwide version ?
