Re: FAHMonitor reading SMP client instead of GPU client

You can specify where you want to install FAH clients during the install process. I always choose a really simple path.

FAHMonitor doesn't care about your shortcut. It wants you to point it to the folder (wherever that is and whatever you named it) where you have your GPU client installed, the folder where the executable file and the FAHlog.txt resides.

For me, in the example I gave you, that is C:\FAHSMP\ I like to keep it simple, but FAHMon doesn't care if your path is longer, as long as you point to the correct folder.

Your suppose to browse to the shortcut right? Its in Start/Program Files

When I look for it in the monitor app, I go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Folding@home\Folding@home\

The name doesn't matter does it?

Re: FAHMonitor reading SMP client instead of GPU client

What is the path to the GPU client?

C:\FAH ?

Or what?

Browse to the folder where you have the GPU client installed.

Hm I get this error when I browse to the gpu client and try to select it:

"Something is wrong with this client.
Please check the messages (Tools->Show/Hide Messages Window)."

"X GPU cannot be reloaded! (FAHlog.txt does not exist)"

I'm browsing to the shortcut in my C drive..that's right ain't it?

Point it to the directory where the GPU client resides.

I got the GPU client going, but when I try to open FAHMonitor it looks like its still reading the data from the SMP client? Which is NOT running, how do I make it read the GPU client instead?
