I used to have to go to the most tiny, obscure stores to buy software games for it. Now my cell phone has more storage capacity than the 64 did...

IIRC, most of the games I had were text-type. I do remember some game with the name "Motor" in its title that was on cassette...
Yep, I remember the Scott Adams text-based games on cassette...

Dude111...must've been a labor of love! Very cool!

Funny, I owned one of damn near everything in those days except a C64, but they were, in their day, a heck of a machine!

Yes but is the speed correct?

The only emulator i have ever had work for me is a COLECOVISION emulator (Which locks the CPU speed @ 3.58 Megs during play (PLAYS EXACTLY LIKE IT WOULD ON A COLECO))

I'm a big C64 fan, so I gave you a thumbs up for that link.

Nowadays, I just play all the old games on an emulator that runs just fine on my XP desktop. The one I use is called CCS64: »www.computerbrains.com/ccs64/

It plays a lot of the games that other emulators can't handle.
