Stealth updates?

When I logged on early this afternoon, I had to download an update first. The Downloader button was grayed out, and I had no patch information to accompany it. Played a bit, then logged out.

Logging on again this evening. Another undocumented update, with the downloader button grayed out.

Is this a set of stealth updates to fix the patch that fixed the patch? Or am I justified in running an AV scan right now?

more than likely it was an update to the launcher.

For some, the launcher self-update process is bugged. It keeps trying to update itself and failing miserably along the way.

Temp fix is to start wow.exe, bypassing the launcher.

Poor Blizz... can't get any slack. Fix one thing, break another.

I get 72% through the download and it says it can't complete the download.

I had no problems with it, but my wife had to download it 3 times before giving up and rebooting. Seemed fine after that. I think it may be some registry entry somewhere not getting updated correctly "live" that needs a reboot.

this is the message I get at 72%

we had 2 people in our 25 man os raid get disconected at different times. Then when they restarted, they had to download the patch again and install it! They obviously already had the patch since we had been playing already.
