Part #2... this is the AT&T/Cingular site -- sorry I didn't take more pictures -- i was [honestly] afriad I was going to be electrified by the hanging -48v everywhere and equipment which was out of service w/ tags that said "DO NOT TURN ON - RISK OF SHOCK!"

ha...

note: most of the equipment in this site was inactive... seems like AT&T now packages everything in nifty cabinets (like img #4) and is a turn-key cell site solution.

I'm gonna guess the old stuff is TDMA (analog), I doubt they're shutting anything GPRS down yet....

actually, the PCSI stuff is super old CDPD stuff (from back in the day -- i mean like 1997-98).... couldn't really see too much of AT&T's other cabinets -- they're very compact and "turnkey" for putting sites up quickly.

Actually the wire mess ain't too bad. I've been on a few RF sites that would scare the hell out of most people.

When you need to weed your way through a coax pile like jungle vines, to get through the DOOR, there's some problems

Nice pics

That entrance is a bit messy but not bad. At least it looks like they have permanent tags on the cables. I hate when people don't tag the wiring.
