| [Future9] voicemail access number I know that you can reach FN voicemail via 9000 from within the FN system, but there used to be a 567 area code DID to dial-in to the voicemail system. Is it still active? I don't see the number in my control panel anymore.
There's value in being able to dial in directly the VM system from outside of FN/my DID. |

You should be able to reach it via web callback too by putting your current location phone number in the first box, and 15672440399 in the destination box. |

 | reply to soitgoes2 Thanks. I was looking for number 3. The 567 number used to appear in the control panel; it doesn't anymore. |

And if you wanted to, just like you did with CallThru setup a *9026-9000 gateway so someone could use a Local SipBroker access number to check their VM ... |

nitzanPremium,VIP join:2008-02-27 kudos:2 | Just set it up with 9001 instead of 9000. So *9026-9001 from SIP Broker should (in theory) bring up voicemail. |
|
 | *9026-9001 didn't work *9026-1-567-244-0399 does work. The latter is longer, but simpler, as just remembering the DID number will work for everything. |

Try it from a SIP Broker access number (not from FN->SB->FN), that should work. |

| said by nitzan:Try it from a SIP Broker access number That's what I did at first. Then, for kicks, I tried it from FN. *9026-9001 gets a busy signal from any of the PSTN gateways I tried. |

| reply to soitgoes2 I guess that I know a lot of useless trivia, but this one I don't know.
"Comedian Mail" comes with Asterisk, yes.
But WHY is it called "Comedian Mail"?
-----------------------------------
Because it's Chris Rock solid??
Because you Hope that it works??
Because it's subject to Eddie Murphy's Law??
Because it records Pryor messages??
Because you can press Red Buttons??
Because you Wanda who called??
Because it works Farley well??
--------------------------------------
I would REALLY like to know why it is called Comedian Mail! |
