Re: wireless security I'm not sure what you can do about that. Even if your key is unbreakable, that won't stop people from camping out across the street and trying.
If it were me, I would probable get a 50 ft ethernet cable, and go wired for a while. I might also temporarily setup my WiFi with a bogus network that goes nowhere, and either leave it open or with an easy to break key.
