Fibertel Argentina - High latency Betwen 7pm and Midnight

Hello all,

My wife and I have been playing World of Warcraft for a few years now, and have recently moved from the UK to Rosario in Argentina. We subscribe to the Fibertel 640 Cable Service.

For about a week or so we have been experiencing huge latencies between 7pm and Midnight Mondays to Thursdays and during most of the weekend. Our notmal latencies are about 300ms but these are now in the range of 5000ms to 15000ms making the game totally unplayable.

Here is a traceroute to the WoW server made whilst playing with the high latencies:-

Have you reported this issue to Fibertel? I wouldn't be surprised if the problem is caused by overloaded nodes, but it could be something else, if I were you I'd request a tech visit to test and confirm your issues, but only after having inquired from neighbours as to whether they are experiencing similar high latency or not.
