This is contrary to what Apple said last week....NO CDMA

I would like to know where the truth stands behind this.....It seems that both camps have said that it will not happen yet stories keep getting written suggesting it will.....confused. Although I would love it to happen.

Not if the Verizon iPhone is an LTE iPhone.No CDMA needed.

CDMA chips will still be needed just in case you are in areas where there won't be LTE Coverage for data, so it can fall back to the EVDO Rev-A. I don't think if it does comes out for Verizon they will be that stupid not to have a cdma chip built-in with LTE chips.

There is a hybrid chip version which is GSM/cdma and LTE.
