| No Carriers Totally wishful thinking here but I'd be for NO cell carriers having the iPhone (or Palm for that matter).
I'd like ubiquitous superfast wi-fi or wi-max networks. We have a wireless network at home and my wife's iPod Touch surfs very fast on it. It annoys me to no end how much the business side of all of this gets in the way of the potential of the technology.
Who am I kidding. Even if the ISP's rolled it (city-wide wi-fi) out, they would soak us for access. Granted they typically bill flat-fee for unlimited (download caps aside). No minutes to track and the like.
But this is totally wishful thinking because it's too good a scenario for the consumer and too costly for the providers which equals dead in the water.  |
