Verizon ... just say " NO" ...

If Verizon was smart .... the word is "IF"
they would design their own or select the
Palm Pre instead ...

Another thing they should be doing ...
DROP your PRICES ....

You should be selling your wireless services
for $40 with no limit for calls ... $50
with calls and text ... and $60 with
all 3 data,calls and text ...
Also ... no contracts ...

You would get more customers in the long
run ...

Gadgetry, gadgetry. Quite honestly, I'd prefer a lower-priced version of the Blackberry Storm over the iPhone.

Why?

I don't do e-mail (which is why I'm not hep on most Blackberries anyway) on a phone, and I'd much rather do SMS messaging (as opposed to MMS), and, thanks to onerous SMS rates, I'd do that using PC-based messaging clients (such as Yahoo Messenger) as opposed to ANY phone-based SMS/MMS client.

Also, I just plain hate iTunes; putting iTunes on a phone merely increases the loathe-factor.

Then there's VZW's network coverage, which I have NEVER had an issue with, locally or anywhere else.

Lastly, the Storm not only supports MP3 playback (directly), it can actually sync with a PC (wired OR wireless). My quibble with the Storm is the price; it's not as expensive as the iPhone, but it's not cheap, either. (The biggest quibble I have with VZW these days is that the Storm is actually the least-expensive phone they have with all the features I actually want and would use, with the MOTOROKR officially dead.)

I never got the IPhone because AT&T. If I have a good phone I would like a good service/coverage as well. If this is true and if it happens, I would not think it twice to get it with Verizon.
