I am in the Bear Creek area and @ 4am water was almost to my front door. The sad thing is that my house is almost 6ft above the street. Lucky for me nothing got in to the house and has pretty my gone down but with the ground saturation around here it won't take much for it to flood again.

No problems here (close to where Tomball, Cypress, and Houston come together). Of course, I haven't been out yet either...

Rain woke me at 0345. Left the house at 0540 to go to the Park n Ride less than 2 miles from my house. On Highland Knolls just before Mason I hit very high water an almost flooded my car. Pulled in the WaMu parking lot that was a lot higher than the road. Proceeded down Mason and at Kingsland the intersection was under about 2+ feet of water. A line of about 10 vehicles detoured around the backside of the Sears strip center and made it to Kingsland and the PnR. Four other drivers braved it and the van is pretty high and had no problem getting to 10 and from there it was not that bad.

The exits at Hwy 6 and the area around the Beltway were pretty bad. Lots of cars parked on the side of the side of 10 waiting before exiting at Barker Cypress. Traffic on 10 was extremely light. Katy ISD is having a 2 hour delay and I hear all of Ft Bend schools are closed today.

There is a 2 hour delay

I just spoke with my brother and he stated that the Langham Creek HS drainage pond had overflowed on to the driveway and parking lots. In all of my years of living in the area I have never personally heard of that happening before.

Cy-Fair schools are closed today as well.

I work at HCC and just got an emergency alert about NW College (Katy and Spring Branch locations) staying open but with a delay of 2-3 hours.

We got 10 inches of rain my area (Bunker Hill and I-10) and it got kind of scary, but things are looking somehow better now. Saw a bunch of cars stuck in high water at Gessner/I-10 and, of course, at SH Tollway/I-10.

Stay safe... and keep an eye on the weather for this afternoon.

I am in southwest Houston and it was not too bad over here. My parents live over off Memorial and Wilcrest and they said there is lots of flooding going on over there.
