In my experience, McAfee is no better than Norton. And it's only "free" if it is trouble free. McAfee was not when I used it.
WRT to Comcast vs. DirecTV: If anyone decides on Comcast over DirecTV, Comcast Internet is actually a reasonable deal. But it is too expensive as a standalone service. -- Norman ~Oh Lord, why have you come ~To Konnyu, with the Lion and the Drum |

3 edits | reply to LOLOLlolol Powerboost is not all hype.
Downloading a big file varies between 1.3M and 450K. It seems to average around 700K but creeps up to 1.xM at times. This was an affordable tier, not the highest.
I am not knocking WOW! which I think is great, just trying to offer factual info to other views. Some download pics to add soon.

I ordered Comcast (connected and using it now) so I could test drive it.
WOW Cable said they could do the 2DVR, 1Converter, Internet and lower my bill $3 to $87. I told them thanks, but no thanks. He told me the WOW offer was good for two months, and includes a free reconnect. --

I also have four TVs, one 27" HD capable, then a 32", 32", and a 15". Cable is easier to distribute in a home. |

| I see only Comcast, DSL, DirecTV, may be my only choices. I will really miss WOW! At least its months away ...
Time to check the other forums and find out who is second best. And in the end I will likely have to compromise on what's affordable. |
