Re: Has anyone bothered to read the bill? And being they were able to do it at even less then the price they offered originally that must say something. These big companies know they gouge their prices because they are the only game in town, until the city just says you know what we will just do it ourselves, like what happened in Wilson. Now TWC wants to put a stop to that so they control the market again. That is no longer free enterprise.
Yes RR will offer 100/100 but it will cost you, much more then what Greenlight cost which they also offer. TWC/RR are in the business to make money. While Greenlight is in the business to connect people in a community that TWC wouldn't even touch before Wilson did this.
I have a property in rural WV, that also wants internet to come in, dial-up and sat is all that you can get. But no service provider wants to bring in service because it will cost too much. But I bet as soon as the city lays down the network themselves the providers will be all over it. |

| But really no different than when a private water company fails and the city/county/whatever has to step in. As long as that is a part of the disclosure prior to voters approving it, I don't see a problem. |

| Not many water companies fail. many of them are HUGE or are privately funded and very well funded. |
