Re: Yet another WCG200 Ver2 modem router trouble Baton Rouge, LA COX Tech came by and tinkered with cable outside. The net change is power levels changed to -6 / +51.5 dbmV downstream/upstream. Downstream SNR is essentially unchanged at 36.6 db. Thanks CoxTOC1, I PM'd you the modem address. Modem has Firmware version is 2.0.3.4.2-50428
Here are the modem parameters.

I just had Cox TC come out today and these parmeters are still off. Do I just have to keep calling them to fix their power levels? |

First, Call Cox and verify what tier you are on and how much you pay a month for intrnet... It looks like you are on Economy as digi mentioned... |

tubbynetreminds me of the danse russePremium,MVM join:2008-01-16 Chandler, AZ | reply to Wide there is only so much that can be done at the premise. while i am no cable expert, its only logical to think that if you are getting poor signals *to* the house, you can't magically make them better *in* the house.
as posted in the thread: »[ALL] what to post before complaining about slow speeds...?
said by tubbynet:•if they have splitters and if the cable modem has been plugged into a line directly from the wall (bypassing all splitters and surge protectors) make sure that you are as close to a "homerun" as possible. check your lines to make sure they are of good quality and your connectors are the compression-type (not twist- or crimp-type) and that nothing is corroded or loose.
if that doesn't fix the signals, work with the techs on the board who will work with your local center to adjust your levels at the ped/tap.
