 | And this is one of the best reasons..... .....to ban Caller ID Spoofing.
Sorry, but there is no reason Caller ID spoofing should be this easy to do. |
|
1 edit | I see where it is needed and can be used for good reasons.
I use asterisk and voicepulse.com for outgoing in the home and for business. I have 4 did's. 2 from vitelity.com and 2 from gizmoproject.com Each extension in asterisk can have its own number assigned as a caller id in the extension setup. This way all extensions can all share the same outgoing trunk but use its own did's. (caller id)

 | Fixed typo. You could have PM'ed me instead, but it wouldn't be as funny I suppose. |

Too many times it is used for illegal and unethical purposes. Why do I pay for caller ID if it can be spoofed so easily? |

 | There is a record for it when I pay my bill for the minutes used. |

You realize that these scammers do not keep a record of their caller ID spoofing because they are not legally obliged. |
