I get these on every cell phone VOIP line and land line I've had inthe last year or more. I've pressed the #2 only to hav them call back hour later. I've pressed one and Told them to F off and quit calling but they're getting real fast at hanging up in a few seconds if they know its not a sucker on the line.Gotta laugh to think tha tI don't have a car that is covered by a warranty so all their calls are useless! Bastards I hope they pop them several time with civil fines and maybe a contempt of court stay in an American jail (Time to reopen Gitmo????) for continuing to violate the laws for those in foreign countries..
I use VOIP as well and use dial plans in mysipswitch.com to route telemarkers and those infamous "unknown" callers to blueface.ie's monkey sounds. (It's funny to look through the call logs--some telemarketers call back 3-4 times after their number's been routed to the monkey sounds; I can only imagine they're wondering what in the world is going on.) I look up any unknown caller and most turn out to be spoofed numbers these bozos are using. If the number's been reported in use by telemarketers it gets routed to the monkeys. I really think there needs to be a federal law prohibiting spoofing and it should carry criminal penalties.
reply to jimbo48 I got those every so often. Besides the car warranty one, there's another for those credit card debt reduction services (both of those are automated). And on a rare occasion, I'll get a live call asking for donations for some police fund. Last time they called, I inquired as to whether the cops were low on donut funds. They just hung up. -- No keyboard present or keyboard error. Press <F1> to continue....
