 | Thank you Verizon... ...for finally doing something right!
My husband and I have been bombarded by these calls, pretty much on a daily basis, despite being on the Do Not Call list. We get them on our home phone and cell phones.
Way to go Verizon, I take back (some) of the nasty things I've said about you over the years... |

 | Too bad they don't actively filter these calls for their subscribers. It seems google voice has found a temporary way to filter these calls:

V probably only took action after customers complained which costs them $$$.
V should be reimbursing customers instead of donating the money to THEIR selected "charity". |

I think the fine should be at least 100 million dollars, and the money should be divvied up amongst the customers who were inconvenienced and annoyed by these ba$tards.
True story- I once had a telemarketer annoying the crap out of me despite my being on the do not call list. I finally complained to the Pennsylvania attorney general's office about it.
Several months went by, the calls stopped. I forgot about it.
Then one day I got a letter from the PA AG's office. Scared the crap out of me too...
I opened it up, and there was a check for $100 inside. They acted on the complaints from consumers against the company, fined them, then split the proceeds among all those who had filed complaints.
One of the few times I ever saw government really do something right. |
