| AC211 sunrocket->nuvio->teleblend
I was a sunrocket customer...I switched to nuvio who had me manually reconfigure my AC211...I recently switched to teleblend, but I can't get my AC211 pointed at the teleblend servers...I tried using the WAN Autoconfiguration by enabling autoconfiguration and using http and server as www.teleblend.com and file as ipg_211.cfg..I saved the settings and reset the AC211...and the SIP Configuration values don't change and I can't receive calls. The tech guy says there was some kind of authentication issue...but I don't know where I have to enter any user name and password...perhaps the AC211 cannot be provisioned by teleblend because of the authentication password on my AC211 box? It is set to one of the 'standard' passwords. Was wondering if there was a specific one or should it be blank.
Automatic Configuration Enable Automatic Configuration: enabled Automatic Configuration ID: always Use DHCP code options 66,67: unseletected Polling time (hours): 3 Server protocol: HTTP Server Address: www.teleblend.com File name: ipg_211.cfg
Barring getting it autoconfigured. |

2 edits | reply to ewz Your setting for the automatic configuration look good. Here are the settings for my teleblend adapter:
The server address should be: 67.133.234.53 File Name is: gms/AC-211/B/ipg_211_Mac Address.cfg
You may also need automatic configuration id.
Good Luck! |

| Yeah...I tried that ip and I tried that filename with my MAC address....but that did not work for me. The automatic configuration id is 'always'...I tried blank, but that did not work for me either. Does the password of my AC211 box affect this at all? |

1 edit | reply to RockyBB said by RockyBB :Perhaps the mods will move this thread to the Teleblend forum... Nah, the TB forum is moribund.
Only a handful of posts in the entire TB forum for the whole month of April.
Do you know that the League of Nations continued to exist all through World War II? It was not officially disbanded until April 1946, even though the United Nations began operations at the end of 1945.
The League of Nations was incredibly irrelevant, especially after 1938, and MOST especially after 1945.
But the TeleBlend forum is even more irrelevant these days. Tech help should be in the main Voip Tech Chat forum.
------------------------------------------
Alben W. Barkley, who served as vice president of the United States from 1949 to 1953, was popularly known as the "Veep." His young grandson had suggested this abbreviated alternative to the cumbersome "Mr. Vice President."
Seventy years old when he was sworn in as vice president, Alben Barkley was a genial grandfatherly figure; but with enough life left in him to court and marry a widow half his age and to captivate national attention with their May-December romance.
In many ways, Barkley was the last of the old-time vice presidents, the last to preside regularly over the Senate, the last not to have an office in or near the White House, the last to identify more with the legislative than the executive branch.
A storyteller of great repute, Alben Barkley frequently poked fun at himself and his office. He was especially fond of telling about the mother who had two sons. One went to sea; the other became vice president; and neither was heard from again.
That's like the TeleBlend forum.

| reply to PX Eliezer Thanks...I had actually seem those other posts.
I can browse to the cfg file.
»67.133.234.53/gms/AC-211/ipg_211.cfg
but it will not reset my gizmo like the call to nuvio does. What would keep it from happening for teleblend? Perhaps someone can help me by snapping their AC211 WAN autoconfiguraiton page or the SIP Configuration pages.... |

| I hope that someone will have this for you.
In the meantime, maybe some of this may be new data. I realize you've probably seen most or all of it:
»blog.itrealm.net/2007/07/teleble···nge.html
And I note this from CallCentric's info on the 211:
Once you have unlocked your device please make sure that the following is true:
"The "Enable Automatic Configuration" is unchecked in your WAN/AutoConfiguration page"
"That you are running Application Code Version: SIP version >= 4.62 US (APP 14) and Downloader Code Version: >= 4.62 US (LDR 14)"
-------------------------------------
After the weekend, there may be more folks around to respond to the question. Don't give up the chip. |

1 edit | reply to ewz My configuration id is a number 14 digits long. I wonder if that is what you are missing. When I look at the cfg file in the link you posted it says: ; This is a revival template ; Use it to resurrect gizmos which forgot their MAC
Do you think your gizmo forgot its MAC? |

| reply to ewz It seems to me that lots of customers took their adapters from sunrocket -> teleblend.
The problem here must relate to the side trip to Nuvio: sunrocket -> nuvio -> teleblend.
My question is, doesn't TB supply an adapter for free, other than 9.95 shipping fee? If so, might it not pay to get their new adapter rather than trying to use the old AC211? |

| They want 40 bucks. This AC-211 box will work if I can get the right SIPConfiguration going...I can't believe it is this hard to have it done. The guy at teleblend told me that the AC211 is downloading the first config file, but can't get the next set of files because of some authentication issue. |

That is terrible. I dread the day my ac211 dies. I guess I will have another line to port over to F9 when that happens. |

1 edit | reply to ewz The nice thing about the ac211 is that you can let it discharge for 2 days (powered down) then power it up and double default it back to factory fresh. Just don't have it connected to the internet or it won't work. I posted the directions back in the early years of SR. Do a search here.
Then do a search for a decent provider!!!!!
EDIT: if you have problems finding the double defaut directions; just ask. |

| If I double default it back to the factory settings these will be the same settings that I got with sunrocket...and I think these work with telblends service...how do I do this? I have to unplug it for two days...i have defaulted it, but it always goes back to the nuvio settings...I don't know how to do the double default. |

| DOUBLE Default ac211 Notes*****
The best luck that I've had is when it's been powered down for a long time, but try it anyway. Disconnect the WAN - internet connection. Connect a phone to phone port 1 Connect your computer to the LAN port Power up the ac211 Right away pick up the phone (you won't hear dialtone)and dial ##3332858, wait 5 seconds and redial ##3332858 again and again until you get a busy signal. Hang up the phone for ~5 seconds and make sure that you don't hear a busy signal. If no busy signal or dial tone redial ##3332858 and leave the phone off hook. Go to your computer and go to 192.168.251.1 and keep trying until you see the ac211's log on page. Type in: ~~}G^ then press authenticate. This should let you into ~75% of the ac211's that SR used. If it doesn't I have a list of the others. Go to WAN then scroll over to autoconfig at the top right and click on it. Uncheck the Enable Automatic Configuration box then scroll to the bottom and click save changes.
Next on the left click on Security enter a new password in both boxes (1234) then click save password at the bottom. You will get kicked out and have to reenter the password.
Next; click on Security then scroll over to access and under WAN uncheck both boxes and under LAN make sure both Telnet and HTTP admin access are BOTH CHECKED. Press save changes and agree to the warning.
Now power down the AC211 and connect the WAN up to the internet. Your ac211 is now unlocked and just needs the sip credentials to be programmed.
Good luck. |

Stop! Double take three times. One, two three. Then pelvic thrust. Whooooooo, whooooooo. Stop on your right foot, don't forget it! Now it's time to bring it around town. Bring-it-a-round-town. Then you do this, then this, and this, then this, then that, then this and that, and then... ahhhhh! |
