I believe that is because in San Diego there are
1,000,000+people living in the city. In Iowa my town is 9000 people in the phone company services close to 400 communities many of which have populations of less than 2000 people in them.
And that's exactly why you don't have FIOS. Verizon doesn't care about low population areas.
UHHH, Leo is a armpit town, just like where I live.
FIOS will be here as well late this summer, my town may have 800 people at most.
Fios covers any town, not just big ones.
I'll be damn glad to dump MC myself, the internet is a joke and now this wanna be phone.

LOL you got lucky. FIOS availability is VERY limited.

I think your right Annony. I see a lot of large towns around here that don't have FIOS yet.
I guess they are just covering NE Indiana pretty heavy for what ever reason.

Don't get me wrong, I think FIOS is a great product! I wish everyone could pull the same thing and improve US broadband offerings. But lately it seems to me most companies are waiting to get a handout from the government and/or find a way to squeeze more revenue out of customers without doing any major upgrades.

Verizon took the risk and it seems to be paying off and I am glad that's the case. Maybe others will follow.
