Looking for ZyXEL with Infineon

I have been trying to get a hold of a modem that is powered by Infineon and found by browsing online that ZyXEL makes Infineon modems. By searching this board I came by information that the model in question is the P-2612HW-F1/F3. Since I need an annex B modem I guess the correct one for me is P-2612HW-F3, unfortunately nobody seems to carry it. Does anyone know where I might get a hold of one?

Alternatively I understand some ISP's give them to customers so I might try to get a hold of a used one, but does anyone know if it would be somehow limited (or locked to the ISP) when compared to the generic one? Thanks.

Re: Looking for ZyXEL with Infineon

The 2612HW-F3 is still vaporware, it was supposed to be released nowish, but has been delayed until august or something like that.
Now check if you can get a 2602HWT-F3 it is made for Telenor in Norway, it got a Telenor fw, ie the features that Telenor wants, but its the same hardware as the 2612.

Sorry for the late reply, but I appreciate your advice, I will see if I can get a hold of one. Do you know if Telenor in Norway sells them online some place or do they only sell them to customers?
Also you said the hardware should be the same, do you know if this means that when the 2612HW-F3 is released I should be able to flash the generic firmware to it so that it essentially is a 2612HW-F3 or is there some kind of block on the 2602HWT-F3 that prevents this kind of product conversion?

If only Zyxel would offer an advanced product offer to people genuinely interested in testing their products, that way advanced users would not have to wait until products go to mass production only to test them.

Most likely you will not be able to load the 2612 FW on the 2602 board, since ZyXEL has checks in place to avoid it. Mainly to not mess up the deployments for the ISP's.

ZyXEL got beta lists, or at least used to have, I assume they still do.
