You have to change the entire subnet of the VPN router. You probably need to do this on the setup tab or something? You either need to change the entire remote subnet from 192.168.1.x or you need your change your client subnet from 192.168.1.x.

On a D-Link I have, you can do this on Setup -> Network Settings -> Router IP Address
