How is it different from resetting the router to factory defaults (or something similar)? Also, what do you think would be the number of different firmware flashes to require the need for this method?

Clears out the NVRAM, if you installed prior many prior firmware you want to make sure you got rig any older code left over from the prior firmware. So you want to start off fresh! |
