 | I have a tivo, so no STB's, just 2cable cards...
I was kinda looking at the 20/20 from Extreme for $56 (I am going to assume that price does not include the unfee fee's below the line...), and for me, HD Extreme package stand alone from verizon (based on my area) is $47 a month..
Currently I am paying $140 for 10/2, whatever the grandfathered essentials TV package missing a few HD channels, and phone service I am not using at all since I replaced my security alarm with a Great Dane and a mean vicious (but cute and loving to the family) Dalmation...
I wonder what Verizon would charge for 20/20 if they even offer it (I do not think they do... atleast not in my area) |

However, this is dry-loop fiber Internet, which is unheard-of, especially for residential customers (let alone residential customers in the eastern US). DSLx' offerings are great for those that want to keep copper, or cell-only households that want fiber Internet, and want to keep their current TV provider (for any reason). In fact, you can't even get dry-loop fiber Internet from VZ (in most areas, if you have FIOS Internet, you lose your copper; that is usually the case in Maryland). I've certainly heard enough griping on that front in the FIOS fora. |
