| Nice... but Business pricing looks good also, and their static IPs are a lot cheaper than VZ.
Unfortunately, they don't offer a 2 year term like FIOS does on their business plans. With pricing for internet service climbing upward on both cable and FIOS, I would want to lock in today's rates for as long as possible.
Anyone know if this is a pure reseller deal where the connection is all Verizon, or is VZ just backhauling their resold FIOS traffic onto DSL Extreme's network? |

Verizon 20/20 1 static IP: $139.99 ($99.99 + $40 for 1 static IP) DSLX 20/20 5 statics: $149.99 ($129.99 + $20 for 5 static IPs)
Looks more expensive to me...I don't need more than one static IP (it'd be nice, but not for $10 MORE). -- He who is not contented with what he has, would not be contented with what he would like to have. -Socrates |

| But that's not comparing apples to apples.
Verizon 20/20 on a 1 YEAR commit is $179.99 ($139.99 + $40 for 1 static IP).
DSLX is $30 cheaper at $149.99 and you get 5 IPs, not just 1.
That's why I said I wish DSLX would offer 2 year commits (with a similar corresponding discount). That would make 20/20 with 5 static IPs somewhere in the vicinity of $100/mo. On a commercial 20 meg symmetrical pipe with NO port blocking, $100 would be a killer deal. |

pflogBueller? Bueller?Premium,MVM join:2001-09-01 El Dorado Hills, CA kudos:3 | True, but it's still NOT CHEAPER for me. I am already approaching the end of my 2 year contract with Verizon, so if I can get a 2-year reduced price, that'd be excellent. -- He who is not contented with what he has, would not be contented with what he would like to have. -Socrates |
