Re: [Other] Broadxent / Creative Firmware Wanted to give an update so that hopefully those that have this problem in the future will be able to solve it. As this was also affecting my Versa modem as well.
In fact the only modems that would work were QWest's branded actiontec modems.
I was able to fix this by changing the encapsulation mode from VC?MUX to LLC/SNAP Bridge mode.
VC/MUX used to work no more than a few months ago, but apparently QWest changed it, despite the fact that they didn't know why it was working in the 1st place.
I'm on an IP Packet line, IE. Ethernet over Fiber.
So this won't affect those that are ATM only.
However, it does affect those that are dual mode ATM/Ethernet.
