Normal KVM switches are designed to take one monitor/keyboard/mouse and connect it to 6 computers, which is the opposite direction you want to go. I'm not sure electronic KVM switches can be run in reverse but there is a solution (assuming there isn't a device out there that already does this). Get some of the old rotary switch style KVM's. I don't know if they made them any larger than a 4 port variety but you can get a two port and connect it to two four port models and have essentially 8 ports available. The only downside is that these are likely PS/2 based only and may not be able to go the distance you need. |

 BPremium,MVM join:2000-10-28 | It's not a matter of running in reverse so much as having a KVM that supports a sufficient number of "control" or "master" or "user" locations.
This seems to be the lowest end Raritan switch that can do up to 8 "user" locations. (The link I gave above does not quite fit.)
