Agreed. Why not just pick up a 2-3 year old POS laptop off of Craigslist or something? Honestly, it sounds like you're overengineering the solution here. You don't need a monitor/keyboard in every room when a laptop with a wireless card can follow you from room to room. I'm guessing all you're looking to do is surfing/mail (?) and you don't need a super-fast laptop for that. -- We could use the £5,000 to buy a spoon. And then fill up with ice cream.
