Re: Wow.... He probably was belted, but when the truck started moving and the basket started banging into stuff, he may have decided to jump for it rather than get caught in some live power lines, smashed into a bridge/sign/tree and enveloped in the twisted jagged metal that was the cage.
Or the guy was retarded and didnt have his saftely harness in use.
The summary also says it was a carjacking, which to me means there was someone in the cab and they were forced out.
