Mele20 posted : Yeah...I've seen that. I've had it working on one computer and not on another...working on Fx 3 on Vista, but not on XP but IE8 on XP it works but doesn't on IE 7 on Vista. The problem has been here almost as long as I have been at this site. It is totally inconsistent and defies any logical, rational explanation. It used to drive me nuts. I thought like you did...it was a particular browser or something wrong on my computer. Somehow my internet connection was causing the problem, etc. I would post about it and some would be having the problem but most not. Some having the problem when I was had no problem on the browser I had the problem on. :p

I have finally come, after many years of irritation, and trying to figure it out and fix it, to the conclusion that this problem is caused by the site gremlins. I no longer tear my hair out about it. I just wait and eventually it fixes itself. If it bothers me too much I use another computer where it is ok since sometimes I have the problem on all browsers at the same time but not on a virtual machine or another physical computer. The gremlins have won. ;) :D
--
"The same ferocity that our founders devoted to protect the freedom and independence of the press is now appropriate for our defense of the freedom of the internet.
Mele20 posted : It is not an IE thing. I use Fx 1.5 and Fx3, IE6, 7 and 8 and Opera 9.64 and Alpha 10. Periodically, I see this problem on ALL browsers. I have come to believe that it is a site glitch which sometimes clears up in a day or two but sometimes takes weeks to clear up. I see it on XP Pro and on Vista Ultimate. So, I don't believe the browsers or the OS is source of the problem.

I was seeing the problem about 5 days ago but this time it cleared up after about one or two days.
--
"The same ferocity that our founders devoted to protect the freedom and independence of the press is now appropriate for our defense of the freedom of the internet.
