| Re: [Eastern Ontario] Cogeco Burying Cable------Internet Availab Rifleman. I heard End of May, middle of June. I think they are done setting up Pembroke but the website still shows it unavilable. BUT July Bell is going to be doing some major upgrades after LV and Pet signed that Internet agreement with them. THey are installing a bunch of remote DSLAMS to service I think about 95% of the people with DSL of some sort. | |

Power is a good step, we are close.

| I don't know about Petawawa Point specifically...actually I don't know about any address specifically but I've just heard that through June several areas will go live quietly and then the official big announcement for folks in the area will be a bit later on but if you're in Pembroke feel free to call in and see if your address is one of those quietly available right now. -- you can lead a horse to the water but you cannot make him drink...you can put a man through school but you cannot make him think --ben harper

| Re: [Eastern Ontario] Cogeco Burying Cable------Internet Availab Pembroke is completely rebuilt 2 way. Just a question of waiting for turnovers. We've tested modem in all of Pembroke and they work flawlessly now just waiting on the formalities. As Krispy suggested call in your node may already be one of the active ones. These days nodes are going active weekly.
All digital and HD should be available by mid August early September with phones following closely after that.

These are proactive changes we're making to get us up to minimum 4 hour battery backup. If I tell you more I'll have to "read you in".

Sandy Drive is in node 9017 and they are currently building that node. Probably end of July mid August before it will be fully active and ready to sell. That's as long as there are no major cable faults to repair. Their moving pretty fast these days.

| Pepsi90919: I don't think Cogeco is terrible because the sales people don't know what the maintainers and installers are doing. I get the same answer from Bell when I try to find out what is happening with their expansion in Petawawa, but at least I can understand the folk at Cogeco. | |

That doesn't make Cogeco great and Bell terrible; every department should have access to the same information regarding rollouts. You shouldn't be able to call up and get 30 different answers on one subject.

| Re: [Eastern Ontario] Cogeco Burying Cable------Internet Availab Hi Al: I was just talking to a "preferred Cogeco customer" and he told me that he was talking with a support supervisor last week and the super said because of damage to one of their systems by lightning, we may not get cable in Petawawa. Funny because two weeks ago I was told the target date for service in Petawawa was this week. No idea what to do now, but getting very frustrated. | |

Sorry for the delays but your close.

| Hey Chromac
I phoned sale today and they told me that the internet is not available. Would they know that it is becoming available. If they know it will be there by a given date, they still could sign people up with a future activation date which should be in about 2 weeks. I guess I am getting overtired of Bell crap on a stick.

| Hey! All this news about broadband has me exited...I've been nagging for the past 8 years to get highspeed in my area of Petawawa and finally I might get it? I'm thrilled.
Would anyone happen to know what node Oelke Street is in Petawawa? Its in the Frasier Subdivision down near airport road. (I hope its part of the rollout!)
Also, possibly related: is this the reason for tearing out the road on main street Pembroke?

I know people way out on B-line Road who have cogeco internet already.
