And this is why Cogeco continues to be terrible. One hand doesn't know what the other is doing.

I don't think Cogeco is terrible because the sales people don't know what the maintainers and installers are doing. I get the same answer from Bell when I try to find out what is happening with their expansion in Petawawa, but at least I can understand the folk at Cogeco.

That doesn't make Cogeco great and Bell terrible; every department should have access to the same information regarding rollouts. You shouldn't be able to call up and get 30 different answers on one subject.

I was at the grand opening bbq hosted by Cogeco in Pembroke last Friday and they assured me that the whole of Petawawa would be operating by mid September. Let's keep our fingers crossed 'til then.

I can vouch for that. Petawawa should be selling by mid September. Actually node 9018 which is the the section Airport Rd, Black bay rd, Doran Rd, etc. Is selling now.

Hoping they make it available soon. I am getting tired of Bell turbo Stick. I wonder if they mean turbo by the speed they rip you off, certainately not because of its speed.

I recently moved to Petawawa, and I had to go back to Bell for my internet and telephone... it's been a NIGHTMARE!!!

Please Cogeco, I miss you Please get Internet and Telephone working in the K8H area... before I go strangle someone at Bell.

Hi Al: I was just talking to a "preferred Cogeco customer" and he told me that he was talking with a support supervisor last week and the super said because of damage to one of their systems by lightning, we may not get cable in Petawawa. Funny because two weeks ago I was told the target date for service in Petawawa was this week.
No idea what to do now, but getting very frustrated.

Al

I called them this afternoon. They told me the internet was available at my location. Started doing all the stuff to get the service. After registering all the info she punch a button on her computer and apologized by saying that the service was not avail at my location. From very happy to completely down in less than 15 seconds

I'd love to get an official update on this... I'm sick of giving bell my money when they don't seserve it.

9017 was accepted by tech ops and returned to marketing two weeks ago. Marketing needs 4 weeks before they start to sell so you should be good to go by the end of September.

Sorry for the delays but your close.

Methos IM me your street address and I'll see which node you're in and should be able to give you an idea. We're a bit behind schedule due to the new fiscal putting the kibosh on budgets but the project should be back on track in the next week or so. I'm on vacation and won't be back in the Pembroke until after the 28th.

That's BS Startec. I'm one of the first people that would have heard of anything like this affecting this build. I'm the tech ops lead in the eastern areas and I've been involved with the Pembroke and Petawawa builds since early spring activating and setting up the fiber optic nodes. There have been some delays due to the fiscal end but everything is back on track. We wanted to be ready by mid Sept but some cable faults have caused a couple of minor delays in a few areas so we're now looking at about a month delay in these sections. Also the 4 week lead time that marketing requires has caused a bit of a delay in areas that we have finished and should be selling in soon. There is NO STORM RELATED DELAY. Have you seen any lightening lately? IM me your address and I'll find out when your area will be selling or what is causing the delay.

I'll be away for about a week on vacation but as soon as I get back I'll have your answer.
