DTV is very good service and even though I get about 10 Dish offers a month in the mail for half what I pay DTV, I would not consider switching. Yep if it pours cats and dog, the service goes out but it comes right back once downpour is over. -- »www.seabee.navy.mil |

No strings. Here in AZ we have the summer monsoons. real high winds and gully washer rains, DTV signal may drop but its back in a few min. never had an outage that lasted more than one hour. In that one DTV was back up 45 min after power came on. Have called CS a couple times over the last 8 years. They were solid and were able to help with DVR and other user questions.I now have cable in the area. I am staying with DTV. much better value. |

 | reply to caco I guess it matters where you live. In Florida you get nearly daily downpours in the summer. In Michigan we get quick hitting rain once a week in the summer. The main problem here is snow on the dish in the winter, but the beauty of that is the fact that the dish faces south. Unless its a bitterly cold day, the sun melts the snow on the dish after sunrise and the problem is gone. |
