for what its worth

You said:
"I gave Bell my 30-day notice saying I was leaving at the end of my contract, and going with TekSavvy. Immediately my speed dropped to 4.0 Mbps down, and 640 kbps up."

What I find very interesting in what you wrote is that you are not the only one who stated this.

I have many many posts of Bell doing this (dropping their PAID FOR speed) when people give notice to leave.

You are not the first to state this little non-trivial fact.

You rated them to high IMO. Even in leaving them the value and quality you received was sub-normal and sub-par (and this was only on leaving).

To be honest, in the year I was with Bell my Internet connection was never an issue. It was always the same speed, and always worked. Any issues I had (twice in 1-year) were fixed easily using the Bell Direct forum. The technicians involved with the Bell Direct Forum are amazing.

My issues are limited to the 60 GB Cap, and the price. And those were enough to get me to leave.

I think it's unreasonable to rate the tech support based on the direct forum. Really, it should be more of a reflection of what the overall picture is, and it's not pretty.
