| Late last year I heard that iTunes was going partial DRM free in early 2009 and then totally DRM free by some point in 2009.
I'm looking to purchase some new music, and frankly, getting tired of buying and ripping CD's.
1. Is the new stuff any higher bitrate than 128Kbps? [I rip all my stuff at 192; in comparing to 128, 128 just doesn't feel right - just my preference]. is there a way to tell?
2. Is it all DRM free - if not, how to tell?
