| Embarq speed very slow
This is with the Up to 10.0M download / 896k upload
Hello all
just started with embarq on 5/2/09 with the 5.0m package and the speed with very slow so i upgraded on 5/7/09 to Up to 10.0M download / 896k upload and it was still slow. was wondering if anyone could help me with this.
I have the embarq 660 series modem
I also have a netgear WNR2000 wireless router
but the computer that i am on right now is hooked up with the ethernet cable.
I also tried to hook up the modem directly to the computer and still got the same thing. |

I called embarq and was on the phone for quite awhile and then had to goto work so i gave the phone to my wife and they finally switched her to a tech 2 and had her on the phone for another 2 hours and wanted her to move the modem to the other wall jack and she had no idea how to hook it up and he explained it to her but it still wasnt working so i told her to hang up with him and i would look at it when i got home and when i checked it out that night he had her hook it up all wrong so i fixed all that and ran a speed test from speedtest.net and thats when i got the results of
