All right... I have an Intel Celeron D 2.8ghz cpu and cooling fan in perfect working order to give away to one of our team members.
(Free)

I upgraded my home PVR machine a few months ago,
and the upgrade CPU has been running perfectly.
(Thanks to Lil who found the info I needed for the upgrade - You rock!)

If you have a use for it let me know and its as good as in the mailbox, otherwise I can add it to the fundraiser.

I has parts.

Trouble is, I don't have wheels to get to the post office and a lousy freakin' job that keeps me busy 50+ hours a week.

Sorry.

On the bright side, my lasagne has gone full-time instead of one night a week. We now have chicken tortellini alfredo and ziti with meat sauce on the new menu...

...and Mac & Cheese. It's embarrassing, but at least it's not deep fried.

We have close to $400 in sales already and I have more parts getting ready to go up to auction. This has been quite successful so far and I'd love to keep going.
That's awesome!

At this point, we mostly want valuable parts that we can sell on Ebay to bring proceeds to TDPH so we can build more quads! It's always obviously hard to donate money when times are tight, but lots of people have things laying around the home collecting dust. And, those dusty parts can amazingly turn into shiny new quads.

Thanks again Lilhurricane the sticks are in the mail.

One thought is maybe you could post a wish list of parts needed ie.. new blade servers etc..?

I did see where it was posted for any quads but do you mean just the CPU's or a whole machine?

I have two sons one in college so they typically get away with all my geat thats worth more than a few pennys however I do have

4- 1Gig PC2- 5300 sticks of RAM laying around that I would gladly donate.

I think that they are matching as all the numbers are the same on all 4 sticks (came from my dell XPS but I have upgraded to 8 Gig)

1GB 2Rx8 PC2- 5300U-555-12
HYMP512U64BP8-Y5 AB-T 0720

If you could sell them I will gladly ship them to you (whoever that may be) but for the life of me I can not find a shipping addy?

reply to Slava
Slava, we're offering shipping reimbursement. There's nothing at all wrong donating parts and asking for some of the proceeds to cover shipping.

So, if anyone has parts, but doesn't have the extra cash right now to pay shipping, just let me know what parts you've got. Don't even tell me you don't want to pay shipping because I'll already be telling you we'll reimburse.

I think Lisa it also might be a good idea to compensate our members for shipping. Times are hard and I'm sure not everyone is able to pay for shipping. I'm sure some members have many parts that they could contribute, but it might be a matter of shipping it over that is the problem.

Personally, I feel that if this is the case. It should not stop the our members from contributing. As long as the item can fetch enough to cover the shipping costs, I think we should be able to reimburse our members. This way the project gets benefited and the member gets reimbursed. The member feels good that not only they where able to make a contribution, but also where able to do so even though they might not otherwise have been able to afford it. Any opinions on this?
