 | $3 a day prepaid Looks like a good plan for those who:
Just use their phone a lot on certain days of the month.
A traveler from another country who just needs a prepaid SIM while here. |

Re: $3 a day prepaid I've got a NET10 phone that is $.10 per min, I buy a 300 min card for $30 (less on Ebay)and the minutes are good for 60 days- so that's like $15 a mo without any contract- as you can tell I don't use it much. There is another fee schedule for text and web but I don't use those. |

Re: $3 a day prepaid said by Greg_Z:You left out drug dealers. But why would drug dealers care about days not using the phone? Don't you get business every day? or some days your too high to sell or answer your phone, and thats when you don't use your phone and save $ for drugs? |

Re: $3 a day prepaid there are cheaper alternatives from major carriers: »www.t-mobile.com/shop/plans/Prep···ans.aspx $1/day for unlimited nights, and free m2m on TMO's network.
And if you have a sidekick, you can get $1/day for unlimited messaging, net, and email.
If I recall correctly, the ATT gophone does NOT roam on other networks, while the TMO prepaid does. -- "What makes us omniscient? Re: $3 a day prepaid Drug dealers care about using, and then tossing the number, not "Oh, I need a fix." A dealer deals, a user uses. |
|
 | Re: $3 a day prepaid0; dealers keep the same number and actually have some of the most popular phones. They also do not reply on pay as you go services like GoPhone and have contracts. |

| no its called i don't live a sheltered life and i've actually lived in the ghetto before.
Why not go to a Sprint or TM or ATT store looking around one day usually a Saturday or Sunday and see how many people come in that fit the "drug dealer" profile and see what phones their interested in and what they walk out with. |

Greg_ZPremium join:2001-08-08 Springfield, IL 1 edit | Even in the ghetto, street dealers do not use regular celly's. They use Stolen celly's until they get locked.
And the phones they walk out with, are under someone else's name, paid for cash, and usually on a pre-paid account. |

| LoL. I don't know where you get your information from but they don't use prepaid accounts.
Prepaid accounts are still fairly new. Especially BlackBerries. Virgin Mobile won't activate a BB.
So using a prepaid account doesnt work. Like i said go in and watch. You will see them sign up. What you see on TV and think you know about them is not the truth. |

No, you see what you're doing is typical suburbia. You're equating hood-rich thugs who have hourly jobs and have enough money to pay for a nice phone (cuz they wanna look cool) with drug dealers who use phones for business, because they are dressed alike.
Either that, or you should work for the police since you seem to be able to spot a 100% guaranteed real-live drug dealer at your local phone store.

Re: $3 a day prepaid This is misleading since AFAIK T-Mo still roams quite a lot on ATT's network. Especially to get access to more 850 coverage. Sure you can roam, but you are roaming on ATT much of the time . In this sense you might not be getting added value by going with T-Mo prepaid by coverage (but perhaps by cost).

TMO prepaid is able to roam on all TMO roaming providers TMO has free of charge. That's not the case with ATT. You can't roam with their prepaid plan, and if you look at their network map, you'll see that ATT's native network really isn't that much larger than TMO's. -- "What makes us omniscient?
