Re: Uhhhh said by nasadude yeah, but it sounds different. and maybe there are enough math challenged consumers to fool into thinking it's a cheaper plan.
no contract, right? that seems to be the difference - not cheaper, just no contract.
"AT&T today announced a new prepaid calling option will be available beginning May 11 that offers unlimited nationwide calling for just three dollars per day. AT&T GoPhone customers will enjoy the flexibility of unlimited calling with charges only applying on days when they make or receive voice calls.
It depends... If you have someone that doesnt make calls everyday .... It could be cheaper.. |

Under this plan, do you have to use your "days" before they expire? Yep, the expiration is the same. It looks like the difference is just that you're not charged a per day fee if you don't use your phone.
From the ToS:
Amounts deposited into your account expire as follows: cards less than $25, 30 days; cards $25 to $75, 90 days; $100 cards, 365 days. |

 | reply to nightshade74 sure, lots of people don't make calls everyday, but many people do get at least 1 call a day, even if it's from somebody they don't know (auto dialer, advertisement, wrong number, ect) and you are getting charged your 3 dollars when that happens. |

 | reply to nightshade74 I don't know why people are even considering this offer, if you add it up this $3 per day is over $90 per month, that is outrageously expensive and it's not as if they are offering anything extra to go with it. Even if I were to use it for only ten days per month I would still be paying more than I do with my Net10 phone. You then can't take all your calls and and have to worry about how often you make calls instead of calling whoever, wherever and from wherever you want whenever you want to call like I do on Net10. That is because Net10 only charges 10 cents per minute without any daily fee, no roaming or long distance charges and no hidden costs. I'll keep my Net10 phone thank you and AT&T can keep their expensive packages. |

If you know what you can check out »cellguru.net/prepaid_compare.htm and come out better... |
