Well I actually have BOTH (have DISH JUST for other locals & supers/PI pak) & while DISH's isn't bad, it sure isn't ALL that over DirecTV's - but to each his own I guess. Plus, at least w/DirecTV, you ONLY have to pay the DVR fee ONE time regardless of how many DVR's you have on your account - compared to DISH who reems you PER DVR box. (I have 5 on DirecTV )

I just went with DTV this past weekend from Dish. and even though I realize that their will be a learning curve, My Dish DVR blows the doors off the one I get from DTV. And I never thought how much I would miss the UHF remote that came standard with Dish, but is 25 bucks from DTV. |

The HD DVR normally comes standard w/an RF remote, but you DO have to enable it in the menu; not exactly rocket science. If your remote has an FCC sticker on the back, then it's already RF capable. If not call D* & if you just explain your situation, they'll probably send you one for free. |
