When will we get more HD channels

I just wanted to throw this out there and see what everybody thinks. How long do you think that it will take Insight to add more HD channels to their lineup. With them getting rid of the Faith Channel and one other channel from the analog side of the cable lineup they should now have more room for HD channel. Also I now I know they just updated their current lineup to at least 59 channels in December, but other companies like Comcast and Time Warner are up in the 80's with HD channels. Do you think that Insight has maxed out their bandwidth for providing new HD channels? I just wanted to see what everybody was thinking.

In my new Insight bill (Im In Columbus Oh) there is an announcement for new HD channels being added in July, it says that they will be adding CBS College Sports HD, Encore HD, Lifetime Movie Network HD, Disney XD HD, Outdoor Channel HD, Lifetime HD and Bio HD, and there's even more (Thats a direct quote not from me).

But, we all know Columbus gets all sorts of channels that the rest of us don't. While those aren't the most compelling choices, at least for me personally (although CBS College Sports HD would be nice), it'd be nice if all the markets were on the same footing with regards to major channels offered.

In the Bowling Green market, our July bill states that we are getting one new digital channel - Fuel on 571. (It's already available in Columbus, incidentally).

Don't get me wrong. I enjoy having 50 or so HD channels (I don't count HD On Demand channels as true 'channels' - they're just gateways to a submenu of the on demand channel). That is better than many people can claim.

I just want to see all of us have the same lineup (they've already standardized the digital channels to be mapped to the same numbers in every market - a big step in the right direction). For example: Why can't we have CNBC World, CNN International, Speed HD, the new HD channels coming in July, Fox Reality, Daystar, The Word Network, Guardian Television Network, multicultural channels...

Not all of these appeal to everyone, granted, but shouldn't we have a choice that's not limited by where we live? Insight's only in a handful of markets since the partnership with Comcast dissolved, and I'd like to see everyone on a level playing field. I understand there are many factors that go into this (contracts - which I think could easily be done for channel carriage across the entire company footprint, system limitations, available bandwidth, etc.). I'd just like to see an explanation as to why some systems get seemingly preferential treatment with channel lineups and others don't. (Such as why Bowling Green got 60 HD channels with Digital 4.0, but Lexington only got 55 and northern Kentucky got 52.)

My apologies to everyone - I didn't intend for this to become a rant.
