Did you get an SD or HD DVR? The HD DVR normally comes standard w/an RF remote, but you DO have to enable it in the menu; not exactly rocket science. If your remote has an FCC sticker on the back, then it's already RF capable. If not call D* & if you just explain your situation, they'll probably send you one for free.
