You can increase the number of NAT sessions (somewhat) that the modem can handle by setting the modem to be in "PPP on computer" or in "bridged" mode and let your router handle the PPPoE connection. The modem even in these modes still isn't a true bridged modem. It continues to load the connections into its NAT table, but because it isn't handling the PPPoE there is some additional memory available for that table. |
