price per minute..

this is a crafty idea.. but that assumes the customer is going to use more than 12 minutes per day usage for it to pay off (for the customer). i'm not sure that makes sense since many customers with prepaid such as tracfone & net10 like the idea that you have LARGE number of service days without alot of prepaid loading of "card codes".

if the customer begins to see their usage rise.. wouldn't that push them into buying sprint's $50 unlimited/month prepaid instead? -- sure maybe not for everyone as the coverage isn't an exact match.. but for those people it would probably push them back to tracfone or net10 which has a large number of service days. That's a better idea for customers who stay with them for more then 3-4 years..

How much minimum usage do you have to have with the phone per month? I can't see AT&T having some sort of catch to this idea.. that wouldn't make it the best option for the consumer.

What would be better is how about capping the dollar amount you can charge the customer who has overage... say a 400 minute plan with .45 per minute overages for $59.95 but if they go over.. their bill gets capped (bumped that month) to the unlimited for $90 if they ended up with a bill of $125.. they'd save $35 that month.
